This is just a quick reminder about what happens when you delete your thread.
When a user deletes their thread, it becomes a 'soft-delete', which means an admin or moderator can bring it back if it was accidentally deleted or they change their mind quickly enough.
However, to keep forums clean, soft-deletes are often cleared out of the system every few weeks since a user cannot bring them back themselves and, have they not asked for it back, it is assumed that it is no longer needed.
When you delete a thread that contains both your own and another users writing, it is beneficial for all that you ask the other user/users if there is anything in the thread they want to grab before you delete it. This allows them to save posts they may wish to use for samples later.
