muse a and muse b always had each other's back ever since they could remember. one was very crazy and unpredictable while the other was the quiet one. they had a few things in common but when it when it came to love, that was the last thing on muse b’s mind. muse a was a successful (insert job here) while muse b was floundering to make money at their job. muse b was always getting into fights and had bruises. as always muse a patched up muse b. one day after a fallout with their lover, muse a shows up at muse’s b door in tears. after talking, muse b confronts muse a’s lover and soon after muse a takes muse b to their home so muse b can heal. time passes on as muse a and b grew closer. when muse a was around muse b they had feelings that they couldn’t explain. muse a dismissed it quickly but time after time the feelings flared up. muse b never cared for having a relationship but they had feelings that they couldn’t understand. muse a and b can’t fight their feelings anymore so they confront each other about the feelings. how they will react? will they accept the feelings or be rejected by one another?

muse a is an independent, 17-year-old senior, living at home with their alcoholic mother and trying to find ways to fund their future college education. what makes muse a so different from their peers is that they has the involuntary ability to witness others' dreams. muse a discovered this ability at 8 years old, when they were able to witness a businessman’s dream of him giving a presentation in his underwear. from that day on, they are somewhat cursed by the long struggle and suffering of being part of others’ dreams and nightmares. by taking part in others’ dreams, they can see the other person's fears and/or desires. this leads to muse a finding out the secrets of the people around them, but they cannot reveal them because they might think muse a is crazy. whenever someone falls asleep within a certain distance of muse a, they automatically becomes paralyzed and blinded, and is sucked into the other person’s dream. this distance usually increases significantly if the dream the person is having is a nightmare. people within the dream muse a enters usually ask them for help, but they are unable to, for they don't know how to. all these incidents become a problem for muse a, especially towards their junior and senior years, because most of the time they cannot control the situation. their peers, especially muse b, become suspicious of muse a's strange behavior. while most of their classmates have dreams typical of adolescent anxieties, muse b, a mysterious loner, has frighteningly morbid dreams that muse a cannot come to terms with.
after several encounters, muse a and muse b get to know each other on a class trip to canada, during which time muse b becomes aware of muse a's strange powers. although muse b helps muse a protect their secret, they are unable to maintain a close relationship due to peer pressures, secrecy, and muse b's growing reputation as a drug dealer to the wealthy and them hanging out at a wealthy girl's house all the time.
even as muse a grows apart from muse b, they seem to fall for each other. as muse b seems to fall away from muse a and into the drug trade, muse a realizes things are not always as they seem, and muse a can learn to use their powers to help others and even serve the community.
but all is not as it seems, for muse a soon finds out that muse b isn't a drug dealer and they were not involved with the rich girl in any way. but rather muse b is a sort of underground cop and was on the trail of a major drug bust. muse a is relieved to find out that muse b isn't doing drugs or hanging out with the rich girl because muse b wants to.

muse a soon joins a special police force with muse b. the sergeant running the force is strict, firm but very caring. the sergeant utilizes muse a and b with the drug bust thanks to muse a finding out about the drugs via a dream from the rich girl's father. about six months later the chemistry teacher, who is a younger man of 22, the robotics teacher, goos-looking man and married, and the pe teacher decide to host a party. then the chem teacher invites muse a if they can get enough people to sign up. muse a does and tells muse b and the sergeant about the party and use muse a as bait. muse b is outrages but have to keep themselves in check or risk getting a tounge lashing from the sergeant.
when the time of the party comes muse a arrives. the chem teacher greets her and they both chat. after leaving, muse a pretends to drink and keeps it up for a long time. soon muse a is cornred by the robotics teacher then hands her a drink. after drinking it, she is now inhibited thanks to the drink being spiked. the pe teacher forces himself on muse a and muse a beats him. while thia going on muse a had pressed a button to let muse b know about the drugs. after not answering the calls muse b panics and call the sergeant and in turn bring backup. when muse a awakens, they find our what happens and then overhears they beat the pe teacher. all of the teachers are arrested and soon the rich girl's father is too.

muse a and b become really close again and soon try and pick up their relationship from where it had left off

so muse a is a person who had everything. looks, charm, all of it. they dated someone for a couple years and on their anniversary they were going to their give virginity to their lover. when muse a walks in they see their lover in bed with another person, they snap. in a their fit of rage they kill the lover's new person and terrorize their now ex to the point where they killed them. after doing that it was such a rush. they enjoyed it for so long. little did they realize someone had been been following them.

muse b is a hunter of sorts. i use the term loosely because they only do it as a hobby. they are famous for (insert reason here). they heard through someone they know that there had been a huge spike in deaths as of late. so after doing thorough digging they find out who it is. they decide to observe carefully for awhile since they feel like muse a shouldn't have to be killed, much to the dismay of other hunters and creatures alike. after following muse a for some time, they show themselves.

this makes muse a suspicious so they decide to question them and see if they worth killing. muse b takes muse a out for drinks to show muse b isn't who muse a thought to be. after a long talk and a few drinks in their system, muse a opens up to muse b about why they kill. muse a cries and talks and muse b is the shoulder to lend to. after listening to muse a's story they don't know why but they want love again since they had a similar experience of their own. muse a secretly wants to love again.

after a passionate kiss muse b takes a home with them. now muse a expects to hook up with muse b but it doesn't happen. muse b says that when muse a is sober enough, they will do what muse a wants. muse a grows happy again for once in their life and then hold muse b, now signifying that they are truly together.

* muse a's lover comes back to life and tries to get vengeance on muse a by kidnapping them and torture them or hold them for ransom
* muse a/b's family arranges a hit on muse a/b since muse a/b has killed members of the family in the past
* pregnancy scare (if b/g)
* muse b's ex is deranged and find where muse b lives and tries to kill muse a
* muse b gets heavily involved in a job and it tears apart the relationship
* anything else you want

muse a and muse b have been friends for a long time. the two are inseparable they are two polar opposites but they work well together. when muse a goes through a bad breakup they turn to muse b for comfort. naturally muse b comforts muse a but muse a didn't know that muse b had a crush on muse a. once muse a overcomes their sadness, muse a realizes that they are starting to fall for muse b. will they reveal their harbored feelings or will they forever be tormented by their secret feelings?

muse a is struggling in life. they are at their lowest point in life. drinking, drugs, the whole shebang. muse b is a polar opposite. they are successful in their venture and had known everything is going good for them. that all changes. a criminal jumps muse a and beats the ever living hell out of them, taking what little they had. muse b stumbles upon a bloodied muse a and has taken them into their care. when muse a wakes, they are slightly confused and panic when they see muse b. muse b explains what happened to muse a. muse a grows angry but muse b gives a proposition. they will help track down the person only if muse a does something in return. an unlikely alliance forms and both of them begin to bond over their shared vengeance since the same criminal that beat muse a had embezzled from muse b. with time passing on, they get closer to tracking down the criminal and in the end they kill the criminal. now with the criminal dead, muse a has nothing to look forward to. sensing this, muse b offers another proposition. they'll give muse a everything they desired only if they will be with muse b. muse a sits on this and thinks for a long time. will muse a accept muse b's offer or forever be stuck in the hole they were in before?

Person A of your OTP is a few inches taller than Person B, and loves to annoy B about this. One day, A and B have to go to a formal party, and now B is wearing heels, and does exactly what A did to them. How B reacts is up to you.

Imagine Person B of your OTP is a guardian angel sent to protect Person A. Now imagine that every time B hugs/cuddles A, they wrap their wings around them. BONUS: A is smaller than B

Imagine Person A has depression. Person B likes to put nice little notes all around their house (ex: on the window a note that says “isn’t it a beautiful day?” or a note on the mirror saying “you look really beautiful today!!) and hope they’ll help A a bit. Person A ends up enjoying these little notes and asks B to do them more often

Imagine Person A has a crush on Person B, but Person B doesn’t know and has a crush on someone else. Person B vents their frustrations about their unrequited crush to Person A all the time. After a particularly long rant, Person B goes “You just don’t know how bad it hurts to like someone so much and for them to have no idea how you feel”. Person A looks at them with a sad smile and says “No, I guess I don’t.”

Imagine your OTP welcoming a new baby. Person A would post lots of cute photos on social media gushing about how blessed they are and the exact times and weights, etc. and Person B would just post a photo of themselves holding the baby like ‘I spawned’.

One day, on Muse A’s way home, they come across Muse B lying in the middle of the road. They appear hurt, but are unresponsive when Muse A tries to rouse them. Not having a phone on them to call an ambulance, Muse A carries Muse B the short distance back to their home and tries to revive them.

After several minutes of rest, Muse B awakens with the most excruciating scream of pain. They jolt up, and immediately start drawing sigils on the walls of Muse A’s home with their own blood. Terrified, Muse A demands that Muse B stop and explain themselves. Muse B removes their shirt, revealing where their angel wings have been clipped and states they used to be part of God’s Army.

Muse A has never been particularly religious, and needs plenty of convincing that Muse B isn’t a lunatic. Muse B explains that they have been banished from Heaven and they need to hole up with Muse A because they have no where else to go and the world is unsafe for them. Muse A reluctantly agrees to let Muse B live with them, and over time, helps to teach Muse B how to pass as a human.

Optional:

After Muse B finally feels safe with Muse A, their former life comes back to haunt them in a major way (i.e. called back to Heaven, required to fulfill duties, etc.)

Both muses develop feelings for one another but every time they act on them, something tries to keep them apart.

Muse A lives in a small town just a stone’s throw away from a dense forest, called the Whispering Woods. Every afternoon, especially in the fall, when the leaves are changing color and the air is crisp, Muse A likes to walk through the woods on their way home. Muse A sits on the kissing rock at the mouth of the woods, straps up their boots and inhales the fresh pine before embarking on the winding path to the log bridge. As Muse A crosses the log bridge, one foot over the over, they enjoy the soft ‘whispers’ (for which the woods are named after) of the meandering creek below. The whispers always seem louder in October for some reason, almost comprehensible. Townspeople like to say it’s because the woods are haunted by spirits, but Muse A’s never been the superstitious type. They’ve been frequenting the woods since they were a kid and nothing spooky has ever happened to them before.

One afternoon, Muse A encounters Muse B in the thick of the towering pines. Muse B looks lost and disheveled, as if they haven’t had a shower or a proper meal in a few days. Concerned for the unfamiliar wanderer, Muse A offers to guide Muse B out of the woods, back to civilization. Muse B instead asks Muse A to stay with them a while; they want to visit the log bridge, their favorite place. Muse A can see that Muse B is the lonely sort, so they agree to walk to the bridge with Muse B; they were headed there anyway. When the pair arrive at the bridge, Muse B struggles to recall why they found this spot so special, or anything about who they are at all to make conversation with Muse A, but they can’t remember. Muse A insists on helping Muse B leave the woods, worried that Muse B might be suffering from amnesia or something worse, but when Muse A gets to the edge of the woods, Muse B, who they thought was right behind them, is nowhere to be found.

Muse A calls out for Muse B for several minutes and gets no response. The sun is going down and the chill in the air is biting through Muse A’s coat, so they go home. They barely sleep that night, thinking about Muse B and hoping they’re alright, wherever they are. Bright and early the next morning, Muse A returns to the woods, hoping to find Muse B again. Muse B is there at the foot of the log bridge, waiting for Muse A, unsure of how they got there or what’s keeping them bound to these woods. Muse B is a ghost, but doesn’t know it.

Muse A has been an aspiring musician for years. They have finally hit it big; their music quickly climbing the charts, labels scrambling to sign them, screaming fans waiting outside venues. Muse A meets Muse B at an industry event, and the two hit it off immediately. Muse A invites Muse B out after the event, and they end up going home together afterward. As they continue to bump into one another at industry events over the next few weeks, the pair decides to act on their chemistry and try dating. It isn’t long before they start to fall for each other, but Muse A’s rising fame sweeps them up, leaving Muse B behind while Muse A travels the world. Muse B does their best to deal with the distance and the insecurities that come along with dating a musician but, they finally reach their limit when a photo surfaces of Muse A kissing a fan after a show. Muse A expresses regret about the incident, but can’t promise that they’ll be 100% faithful while on tour. After a difficult talk, the two agree that they shouldn’t be together right now, and they’ll just have to see what happens when the tour is over. But when it’s time for Muse A to write their sophomore album, nothing is more inspiring than their relationship with Muse B. Their first single is released and it’s a break-up song that’s all about missing Muse B.

Optional: Muse B is a radio host and their listeners keep calling and requesting the song.

Muse A is a guarded private investigator, who’s been hardened by years of working cases that no one else wanted. Muse A is at the end of their professional rope, exhausted by a decade of pounding the pavement to get the bad guys, while constantly looking over their shoulder. Through it all, Muse B has been their loyal companion—the one they always turn to when the dam is about to break—the only one that can keep Muse A from resorting to their worst vices. Muse A’s latest assignment—a missing person’s case, involving the sibling of a childhood friend—has Muse A clutching Muse B tighter than ever. Muse B is there for all the late nights, easily soothing Muse A’s frayed nerves, seducing Muse B away from the case with their slim figure and intoxicating scent. Muse B is the only reliable thing in Muse A’s dismal world and as such, Muse B’s growing pull on Muse A becomes harder and harder to deny.

Muse B is Muse A’s trusty carton of cigarettes.

April fools!

Optional: Legitimize this plot by turning Muse B into a person involved in the crime who’s deliberately distracting Muse A from solving it. Or keep it as is/insert your own vice, and use this plot for a self para/character study.

Muse A takes notice of Muse B’s instrument case when Muse B comes to stand by them on the train. The pair strike up a conversation about music, a shared passion, and Muse B mentions that they’re actually on their way to a gig right now if Muse A wants to come. When Muse A agrees, they don’t realize yet that Muse B is a subway musician who lives off tips from kind commuters.

Muse A has lived across the street from Muse B for as long as they can remember. Muse B is introverted, and in the few interactions they’ve had with one another, Muse A has learned that Muse B suffers from social anxiety. Staying inside and getting lost in a good book is far easier for Muse B than interacting with people face-to-face, but they don’t want to be cut off from society completely. As their own way of connecting to others, Muse B has constructed a homemade library at the edge of their property, through which they share books with anyone who chooses to contribute. No one really notices the little library however, besides Muse A.

One afternoon when Muse B doesn’t seem to be around, Muse A decides to drop off a few books they’ve enjoyed. On a whim, they leave a note in one, anonymously recommending it to Muse B. After reading through the book, Muse B leaves a new book with a note of their own in it for the next person. Muse A, having seen Muse B venturing to the library, takes the book before anybody else can. Gradually, Muse A and Muse B begin a daily/weekly correspondence with one another, though Muse B has no idea they’re writing to their neighbor.

A friendship develops and the notes get longer and a little more personal. After a couple of weeks, Muse A has finally decided to ask Muse B out for a cup of coffee, but somebody else takes the book meant for them! Now, for the first time in ages, Muse A finds themselves on Muse B’s doorstep, unsure what Muse B’s response will be when they find out the truth.

Optional:

Muse B has had a crush on Muse A for a while and not known how to approach them about it.

Muse A had written a huge secret in the last note to Muse B that got stolen, and now has to deal with the consequences of somebody else knowing it.

Muse A, a tenacious crime boss, is frustrated by yet another news headline about a big crime bust in the city which has ties to their own illicit operations. It seems that the mayor’s been making good on his promise to eradicate crime as of late (probably because he’s looking to run for Senator in the upcoming elections) and that ultimately spells trouble for Muse A. It’s only a matter of time before someone from the Mayor’s camp comes sniffing around Muse A’s nightclub, which operates as a front for their money laundering, but Muse A wants the Mayor dealt with before that happens. As fate would have it, Muse A isn’t the only one who wants the Mayor gone.

Muse B, the Mayor’s child, sees right through the tele-prompted speeches, contrived family photo ops, and the empty promises of a crime-free city. Muse B has seen and heard their father conducting his own illegal practices and knows firsthand that the Mayor is not a good man. Muse B has lost all respect for their corrupt father and only feels disdain and fear toward him. It’s by coincidence that Muse B enters Muse A’s nightclub after a volatile confrontation with their father, but it isn’t a coincidence when Muse A recognizes Muse B and invites them to the VIP area to talk. In this secluded area of the club, Muse B spills all of their concerns to Muse A and Muse A offers protection in exchange for information. Muse B agrees to spy on their father for Muse A with the understanding that, at the opportune moment, Muse A will get rid of the Mayor.

optional: gender swap roles, betrayal + partners in crime = romance

Muse A is the child of a man with a serious gambling problem. He’s a sweet man, always doting on Muse A with their favorite books and rare flowers, but he’s up to his ears in debt after borrowing money from the wrong people. One afternoon, Muse A’s father is confronted by Muse B, the ruthless crime boss of the city. Few people have ever seen Muse B’s face, as their henchmen usually do his dirty work, but everyone knows their name and cowers in fear appropriately. Muse A’s father owes Muse B a considerable debt, which he cannot pay. Rather than kill the man, Muse B offers a trade – the man's beautiful child in exchange for the forgiveness of his financial debts. He has one night to make this deal happen or Muse B will come for him. When Muse A’s father explains the predicament to them, they are willing to go, as long as it ensures the safety of their family and their father promises to put an end to his troublesome gambling habits. Muse A moves in to Muse B’s mansion outside of town the following day. From the moment Muse A arrives, Muse B is on their best behavior, lavishing them with gifts – a library wing for them, a pretty garden filled with the finest, imported roses – jewelry, and so on. Gradually, Muse A comes to see that Muse B isn’t a horrible person, behind closed doors, but the circumstances of their arrangement (and the terrible crimes they commit as a crime boss) make it difficult for them to fall in love with Muse B as they had fallen in love with Muse A. Each time Muse B proposes marriage, Muse A refuses. Muse A becomes terribly homesick and begs to be allowed to visit their father. Muse B allows them to leave him as long as they return to Muse B within a week’s time. While Muse A is away, Muse B is attacked by a disloyal bunch of conspiring underlings. When Muse A returns, they find Muse B wounded and left for dead in Muse B's home office. Muse A realizes in this moment that they do love him and if Muse B recovers Muse A’ll marry them. Their quick actions save Muse B's life and once Muse B is well enough, they marry.

Optional Twists:

Dark Twist: Once Muse B recovers, Muse A willingly becomes part of the crime business. Together they seek revenge against those who betrayed Muse B.

Romantic/Angst Twist: Once Muse B recovers, Muse B gives up their life of crime, since they're assumed to be dead and Muse B and Muse A run away together, with the condition that Muse A can never return home to Muse A's family.

Imagine your OTP going on a nice walk in the woods when it suddenly starts to downpour.

person a’s parents run a chocolate shop and so do person b’s parents, and they were both taught ever since childhood to “never, ever, even go close to that shop!!!” but then they start dating and so it’s this huge elaborate secret where they even make up fake names for each other and wear disguises and buy valentine’s chocolate in huge quantities and hope against hope that mom and dad don’t find out

When Muse A (someone who’s led a comfortable life in a stable home) encounters Muse B (someone who’s struggled since birth and was raised by members of the neighborhood gang) on a hot summer night, an unlikely romance blossoms. As opposite as the pair of them are in circumstances and attitudes, they click somehow; initially, Muse B sees no reason to share that they’re affiliated with a notorious gang. As long as they’re careful it won’t ever be an issue, right? Muse A and Muse B’s relationship progresses in a positive direction until one night when Muse B’s car is tailed by someone from a rival gang while Muse A and Muse B are on a date. Without warning, the blissfully-ignorant couple are caught up in a drive by. No one is critically harmed, but Muse A is definitely shaken. Though grateful that they both survive with minimal injuries, Muse A’s entire world is turned upside down when Muse B admits that they were the intended target due to their gang ties. Muse A- who couldn’t be further removed from that type of lifestyle- is devastated. Despite Muse B’s attempts at reassurance, Muse A is fearful for Muse B’s life and also for the safety of their own loved ones now that they know the truth of Muse B’s background. Muse A has to wonder if the feelings they have for Muse B are enough to justify putting themselves and their friends/family in danger. Will Muse A end up giving Muse B an ultimatum? Will Muse B choose loyalty to the one they love or to the only family they’ve known?

-Your hair colour is your soulmate’s sexuality flag (remember that there can be platonic soulmates, and that sometimes you can be soulmates with someone but they’re not soulmates with you)

- Once you meet your soulmate, you grow wings like an angel. You gain one new feather each time something special happens between you two. When your soulmate dies, you lose all your feathers and can no longer fly.
