✤ All Members must be Eighteen-years-of-age or Older ✤

Although Writing Home's main forum is considered PG 16, the site itself allows for the requesting of adult-rated roleplays. Writing Home also offers users an adult-friendly (locked) forum that users can access to engage in thread roleplays that are sexual in nature. For these two reasons, all users of the site must be at least eighteen-years-of-age or older.

If at any point your age is brought into question, you will be required to verify your age through proper means. This can involve sending a selfie + ID (with private info blacked out) to the staff in control of your case.

Failure to provide proof of age, should it be required, will result in immediate removal from Writing Home.

✤ Be Kind to all Staff and Members of Writing Home ✤

Here at Writing Home, we do not tolerate bullying or harassment of any kind--Period.

This includes purposely bad-mouthing users on the public forums, telling other people not to roleplay with them for petty/personal reasons (public forums or in PMs), etc.

Should issues arise between users, we hope that at least one of the users will be mature enough to disengage and either ignore or block them to avoid future contact. Continuing to engage only worsens the issue.

If a user is breaking these rules, be it through forms of harassment, hate speech, or otherwise, we suggest using the report button under their post to give staff the ability to handle it properly on their end.

✤ Do not share your private information (full name, address, phone number, etc) ✤

For your safety, we highly suggest keeping all private and identifiable information to yourself.
Any and all information (e-mails, phone numbers, etc) shared publicly on the forums will be deleted.

Should you choose to give out information to other members via the private messaging system or through off-site means, the owners of Writing Home cannot be held accountable or responsible for anything that may occur.

✤ No Phishing ✤

Writing Home takes user privacy very seriously and we use the definition of 'Phishing' to mean any violation of user privacy.

If any user is found to be deliberately attempting to or succeeding in accessing private information of other users (name, IG handles, email, VPN, etc), they will be removed from Writing Home.

Basically, if a user isn't voluntarily giving up requested information, then that information should remain private.

✤ Users may only have One Account ✤

To avoid duplicate and unused accounts, users may only create one account.
If, for some reason, you cannot access your account (forgotten password, etc.), contact the site for help.

Unauthorized second accounts may result in the deletion of one or both.
If, for some reason, you need two accounts, contact a moderator or admin to discuss why.

✤ It's Recommended that Users keep their Roleplaying Onsite ✤

For safety reasons, we suggest users keep their roleplaying onsite, be it through a forum or the private messaging system.

However, we understand that everyone's situations are unique and that Discord, E-mails, or Google Docs may be better suited for your needs. Unlike some sites, while we'd love for you to roleplay here, we won't punish you for choosing to find your partners on the site and roleplaying elsewhere.

Should you choose to roleplay offsite, you do so knowing that the admins cannot take any actions against a user should something arise between the two parties that doesn't have to do with the actual breaking of site rules.

Once a user leaves this site, Writing Home takes no responsibility for mediating the offsite actions of its users outside specific situations, such as users going offsite to discuss content not allowed on Writing Home.

✤ No advertising ✤

Writing Home knows what it's like to start from scratch and struggle to build active users, but that doesn't mean stealing users is acceptable.

While we want to help support other sites that will support us via our affiliation program, we still want our own site to grown.

Casually mentioning other sites to users while chatting via the Private Messaging system is absolutely fine, but blatant spamming or contacting others with the intent of advertising to steal a user is not.

Linking character art, world info, or other information that is posted on another roleplaying site is against the rules, as this is a sneaky way people attempt to draw attention to another site.
If you own a site and want to affiliate with us, contact UndeadEyes.

If you have a Twitch, Youtube, or other such channel that has content appropriate for this site, you are free to advertise in the Content Creator Forum.

You may also mention your content in threads when it is relevant to the topic.

✤ Requesting of Monetary Help ✤

If you are struggling or know someone who is struggling and wish to post a GoFundMe, Meal Train, etc., Contact UndeadEyes.

We understand that everyone falls on hard times and we are happy to help our users by promoting their campaign. This also goes for charity causes.

However, we will not allow the posting of OnlyFans or other links of making money through Erotic means. While we support you and your choices, it goes against our site's rules both in our main forum and our adult forum.

Please note:
UndeadEyes may ask for some verification about the situation at hand to avoid users attempting to scam others. This rules also applies on our Discord.

If it's believed that you are scamming users, your campaign will be shut down.
If there is proof of you scamming, not only will you be booted, we are at liberty to report you to the correct authorities.

✤ Do not impersonate Staff or other Members ✤

Anyone caught impersonating staff or other users of Writing Home will be banned immediately.

Remember, staff members will never ask for private information or passwords.
Even behind the scenes, we cannot see your passwords, so if we truly need access, we will require permission from a user to change the password to a temporary one to gain access. We do not ask you for your private password to do this.

One way to know if an admin or moderator is who they say they are is to look at their name.
Their names will be different in color than the average user (the average user's name is always in light blue).

An example of a colored name is Writing Home's on this post. Their name is in a yellowish-green, indicating they are an admin.

Also, you will notice that site admins and moderators have an icon below their avatar that say "Staff Member, Horde Leader, Horde Soldier, Admin, etc). These can only be created behind the scenes and will not be accessible to regular users.

If you see any user pretending to be a staff member, please report it immediately.
Impersonating a staff member means a user calls themselves any of the following: A staff member, Administrator, Admin, Moderator, or Mod.

If you see a user with any of the above terms in their custom title (the quip of words below their user name), that too is considered impersonation.
