We have taken your opinions into consideration and updated the cover photos to be larger and set above the information for clarity. :)
They can be as large as 1200 x 280. We chose this size because we want to give you space, but we don't want a giant graphic taking up the majority of a profile (to avoid slow loads for other users).
Here's how it now looks. :)
It will also display above users when you click on their avatar to give you a sneak-peek at their information.
