We've enabled self-Disabling/deleting of your profiles in case you need a long break or just want to leave the site.
To access it, just click your name and you will see "Delete Account" at the bottom of the drop down box beside the log out option.
It can also be found when in the account details section on the left sidebar.
You must first put in your password as a safety precaution to even access the area, then you must verify the disabling of your account.
At this time, when you use this feature, your account won't be deleted in full, but will be disabled.
This means, if you choose to come back, you can enable your old account again.
However, if you choose this method, your username will be taken away and replaced with a string of characters to open your username up to other people.
So, do NOT use this method for short hiatuses. That is NOT what the feature is for.
You will also notice to the side of your posts a small white box with a counter in it. It is a word counter. We're trying it out. Let us know if you like or hate it and we'll remove it if it's not what users like. :) Or we'll see if there's a better way to enable one. Just playing around at the moment with features. :)
