Hello there. I’m Sunflower, or Hades, although I’ve plenty other names….”The thing in the dark,” “sin eater,” “the savior of black…” Yes, I’ve been called all sorts of things. Where you hear my bootsteps, you’ll see a million tales from a million worlds. I play anyone—man, woman, young, old, hot, cold, angry, kind….life is so much better with a little of that ever delicious spice we call variety, isn’t it? Surely, if we’re still following along, you agree. Then, without further ado….let’s begin shall we?
🔆Enter: the beast from beyond🔆
Oh dear, I can be awfully dramatic, can’t I? Well….perhaps that’s what gives me my own spark? As the name of this section may suggest, this is the bit where we cover yours truly. As stated before, I’m sunflower, or Hades, the titular “beast from beyond”, a pleasure. I’m rather open and chatty, as you can probably tell by now—I never stop running my mouth. On this fascinating blue rock, I’m a mere 22, Born July. I answer to absolutely any pronouns. I’m an avid alt punk, and I can’t get enough of reading, writing, music, and cooking, just to name a few things that make life worth living. I can be fairly active, and you can usually find me around if you bug me enough, which I invite you to do! I love to get to know my partners and talk out of roleplay—I think it makes for much better chemistry that way. Besides, isn’t roleplaying all about spinning a story together? Why keep that within the bounds of IC? Tell me of yourself, let’s build a bond, I’ll hardly mind, but I’ll hardly force it either. The meat of it all, eh? To borrow a bit from my bio:
📖My main genres:
Whilst I will do anything that interests me and I generally just enjoy blending and trying things, I do a lot of: High fantasy. Dark fantasy, horror, sci-fi, psychological and alt history, blending themes of speculative evolution, social commentary, dark romanticism and a lot of my own “punk” hailings. You will often see stories of broken worlds and broken people, themes of philosophy and social commentary and simple pondering alike. I like to great grand, sprawling narratives of mighty empires barely held together by a thread, and the lives of those who must cope with it, just as much as “Man I really want an excuse to having two characters punch each other with cool explosions”. And these tie things don’t even have to be mutually exclusive! Isn’t that just awesome? Ah, I should mention: I love romance. Absolutely ADORE IT. It can spice up any dynamic in my opinion, but it is far from necessary. If you ask me….romance is not inherently “love you, love me kissy kissy”. A love story can be between two friends who adore each other so deeply they’d cross any distance, do anything, but would never once think of each other as lovers. I like exploring this sort of “romance” just as much I do two people who want to kiss each other very badly. I should also note that smut is not at all necessary, and it is by no means a must that needs to be included. If you would the romance be chaste, or the focus be on the plot, I’m all for it.
🎭The kinds of characters I play: All kinds! Becoming a partner of mine, you can very much never get the same character twice if you don’t want to. I deeply enjoy blending archetypes and characteristics, and will try just about any approach to a character once. A lot of reoccurring themes and archetypes you’ll see from me are: Towering scarred giants, obsessive, consumed yearners, representations of societal failings or painful traumas, monsters wearing the faces of people, lots of monsters wearing the faces of people (usually also allegories), and queer shit—If a sunflower Jack character ain’t queer, my identity has been stolen. Whether it’s bisexual, trans, nonbinary, or anything in-between, a character of mine will usually be some flavor of queer! I fully invite my partners to do the same, and it is always welcome.
❤Pairings: as stated above, I play all kinds of characters with all kinds of sexualities and backgrounds. I seek a partner to be as creative and reactive with me as I will be with them—I don’t want to limit what you can play, and I love testing dynamics. Don’t be afraid match fiery against fiery, obsessive and all-consuming against obsessive and all-consuming, or fiery against tired and uninterested, and obsessive and all-consuming against stubborn and angry—Let’s have fun with it! Of course, opposites will always attract, and I’m just fine with contrasts. As long as we can make it interesting, I’m fine with any sort of pairing.
👥 Doubling: I WILL double! I am perfectly fine playing multiple characters or doing multiple pairings. We can even do multiple roleplays, if you can handle it and are willing to give me the time to keep up. The only “rule” I’d really have on this is keeping up with both pairs, I suppose? That’d be about it.
📝 Literacy level: I myself am novella. I can go anywhere from a few paragraphs to no less then eight. I mirror, and often will, so please tell me if you’re overwhelmed. Not every reply has to be the length of a small novel, and I will hardly request it, but more than invite you to do so if you’re willing. The pace is ours to set.
❤🔥 Kinks and spice: Ah, the room’s ever burning elephant. What’s on the table, what isn’t, what do I like, what would I enjoy you to like….Let’s get straight into it. To start with, again, smut is not a must and I’d prefer there be a mix of porn and plot. Even if we’re going smut heavy, id like there to at least be some underlying notion of a plot. Now, the fun part:
Asmy characters and genres will suggest, I am a big fan of monsters and crawling horrors. Both playing them and pairing up against them is an equal thrill, and you are more than welcome to ask for them—And please, do NOT be shy about being very direct about what flavor of beastie you enjoy—It’ll be nothing less than fun for me, I promise you. I enjoy a lot of back and forth and banter in intimate scenes, if it’s character appropriate of course. Sometimes two characters would simply grunt and whimper at eachother, which can be just as enticing. I should make it abundantly clear that much doesn’t get under my skin, and as said before, I love to experiment and test my limits, and will try just about anything or any dynamic once. No matter how wild, if you ask, I’ll likely be more than willing to provide. Now….let’s put this into some neat little lists, hm? Now we get to the very end: plots and ideas I already have, should they interest you. If you want to suggest something of your own, or you want to make a plot together from scratch, totally fine! Let’s begin.
WORLD ONE: The hunter’s lodge. (genres: Body horror and psychological, action, gore, survival horror, slasher)
Lurking outside the edges of our reality, clawing and teething its fragile borders, is an alternate scape nicknamed by its inhabitants as the hunter’s lodge. This dimension opens at night, devouring anything it deems “fitting”, sucking it into its confines. The hunter’s lodge is a topsy-turvy Darwinian hellscape built on the rule that the strong rule and the weak run. This one rule is the basis for the eternal “game” that is played, and the hunter’s lodge consists of: the never-ending war between the “hunters” and the “prey.” Hunters are (often) superhuman slasher-esque pursuers who either: A.) Killed a hunter and took their mask, B.) was one by the lodge when they were abducted, C.) have become so corrupted and warped by their time in the lodge that they are no different from a hunter, or D.) “Won” the game but chose to stay as a hunter. Anyone who does not fall into these four categories is likely either prey, or some twisted “thing” that the lodge swallowed when it was picking fresh meat and props. Supposedly there’s ways out, exits for those who “win” via whatever the lodge wants from you, but very few have either: lived long enough to accomplish this, or got out unscathed mentally or physically enough for the victory not to be incredibly phyrric. Most give up and submit to the madness of the lodge, but there *is* a way out. Ways out, if you’re stubborn.
WORLD TWO: Broken god’s spine (genres: Sci-fi, dystopia, drama, body horror and psychological)
A sci-fi dystopia taking place on the remains of a dead mechanical god known as the forsaken one. The god is massive and towering, hurtling through the confines of oblivion, its corpse the host of a sprawling society. Precious resources, such as its blood (Priceless oil-like ichor that seem to be capable of providing fuel for just about any machine or device) are mined and monopolized by those who have the means to seize it first. The dregs of society fight for scraps, often feasting off of what little grows on the forsaken one, or bits of its wires and “flesh”. Although….there are those who feed upon the mechanical god’s remains willingly, worshipping it and some even prophesying its return. They serve it zealously, and see its flesh and ichor as “offerings,” consuming them en masse. This has the tendency to drive mortal minds absolutely mad, and can lead to a form of mechanical poisoning unlike anything we ever knew. Some mutate into horrible cybernetic beasts, or develop strange abilities and afflictions setting them part from the rest of us, known as “prophets”. Not all prophets side with the cult of the forsaken, but the cult does hunt them down, wishing to bring them into their ranks….by force if necessary. The cult of the forsaken is a dominant force on the spine, and many of us beholden to its whims, children stolen away for their sacrifices and initiations, those we once knew mutated into beasts or showing up one day with awful powers, sneering down their noses at their inferior former families and friends. This world is a brutal place, but perhaps two can survive it….together.
WORLD THREE: Over the hill and to the left (Cosmic horror, body horror, action, mystery, tragedy, drama, comedy/dark comedy)
“FORGET ME…..FORGET ME NOT…”
In the ever sleeping city of windwake, impossible happenings have become the norm. Strange sightings, abductions and unsolved cases are its culture, the life blood that turn the bitter loss of life and limb into a sort of black comedy that makes it all worth it. Windwake is an absolute tourist trap, and none more so than luxury resort Paradise. An absolute must-go, Paradise opens its doors to all tourists, with the first two months being absolutely free. All expenses paid food, drinks, and entertainment, the name “Paradise” feels nothing less than absolutely apt. However, guests have had a habit of….disappearing, many without a trace. And when they appear again….it is in the form of their name tag at the resort, usually on the body of some horrible “something,” as they’ve been “nicknamed by the people of windwake. The somethings seem to have always been there, but Paradise….oh, does paradise seem to lead to them all the more. But they say other fates await the lucky: Horrification, a mysterious process leading to unique, yet terrifying abilities called horrors. The horrified, wielders of such gifts, seem to have climbed in numbers since paradise has opened its doors, usually the survivors of their stay. But please, don’t let that dim your spirits! Step right in! You’ll find us up the hill…
