There's a Time and place
We all want to find roleplaying partners, right? I assume that's why you're here.
However, let's be considerate of users, their lives and their situations when we got about our search.
If you're in casual conversation with someone or message someone with a relatively inactive thread,
Remember: It's not about you.
If someone says they have a lot going on in their lives (work, sick family/pets, depression, etc), that does not mean they are 'rejecting' you.
It means they have enough going on in their lives right now that they can't put their best self forward for any (or more) roleplays.
Don't be offended and don't bug them.
If things change, let them come to you.
If you see them become active again a few months down, sure, politely reach out.
Remember, no one is entitled to another person's time (unless you do something bad and gotta' deal with an admin).
Just look elsewhere if someone doesn't or cannot roleplay with you.

Rule Reminder
Remember to size your images and not overuse images!
For the holy mother of lag, we have a rule that dictates the size of any given image on our public forums.No image should be over 750px tall or wide. Thankfully, you don't have to 'resize' the image before posting, as images do have a drag and shrink function directly on the screen (at least on desktop).
We also have restrictions on how many images can be posted on any given thread post/page to avoid lag during loading.
It's not a hard rule to follow and we do give a lot of leeway. No one is going to get banned or marked for posting images slightly over the size. The only way you can get in actual trouble with this rule is by ignoring it blatantly after being reminded or purposely trying to cause lag for users.

Lastly, we know a number of people are coming over from Black Dahlia.
Many of our current users have also been on or were still on B.D.
We're aware of their pending closure and we're sorry to see that it has come to this point.
However, we do want to welcome everyone who has decided to give us a chance as their new Home for Creative Writing (a.k.a Roleplaying).
We know change is hard.
With that said...
Please remember to look through our rules while getting settled. While many of our rules are similar to B.D.,
we also have ones that are very different (be them stricter or more 'lax.
We'll give plenty of leeway to people as they bring over their threads.
For flow, admins will go in and edit/remove small things that are forgotten.
For instance, we know incest was allowed on B.D., so some people forget to remove it when copying over their threads.
Some people don't read the rules in full and have 'taboo/forbidden pairings' in their kinks/likes, which we do have a rule on.
In many cases, we will let you know when changes are made.
In some cases, like the removal of incest, we'll just remove it as we assume you know that rules and it was a mistake.
Bigger edits or repeated issues will always be addressed with the user with a moderate/admin (even if the user isn't in trouble).
Remember, we want the site to be safe/legal for everyone.
Admins and Mods are here to help, not hurt.
